Straw And Hay Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground round or sweet Italian sausage
2 medium size onions, chopped
1/4 lb. fresh mushrooms, thinly sliced (optional)
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
1 (12 oz.) pkg. fettucine noodles (half spinach noodles)
1/4 c. butter or margarine
1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. water
2 chicken flavored bouillon cubes
1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
dash of nutmeg
dash of pepper
Preparation

Cook fettucine noodles according to package directions; drain and rinse in cold water.
Brown meat in large skillet.
If sausage is used, remove casing and crumble sausage.
Add onions and saute until tender.
Add mushrooms and spinach and cook until mushrooms are slightly browned.
Remove from skillet.
