John Wayne'S Favorite Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
1 lb. Cheddar cheese, shredded
4 egg whites
4 egg yolks
1 can green chilies, chopped
1 (8 oz.) can evaporated milk
1 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 medium tomatoes, sliced
Preparation

Combine cheeses, chilies and onions.
Pour into a greased shallow 2-quart casserole.
Beat egg whites until stiff.
Combine egg yolks, milk, flour, salt and pepper.
Fold in egg whites. Pour mixture over cheese, gently moving it to the bottom mixture. Bake 30 minutes at 325\u00b0.
Remove from oven, put sliced tomatoes on top and bake an additional 30 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Serves 8.
