Peanut Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. fresh ginger root
    salt and pepper to taste
    dash of cinnamon
    dash of cloves
    1 c. chopped raw peanuts
    2 c. chicken stock
    1/2 c. raisins
    1 Tbsp. honey
    1/2 c. peanut butter
    1 1/2 c. milk or buttermilk
Preparation
    Saute onion, ginger, salt and pepper in butter until onion becomes clear.
    Add cinnamon, cloves and peanuts and saute 5 to 10 minutes.
    Stir in chicken stock, raisins, honey and peanut butter. Mix thoroughly.
    Cover and simmer over low heat for one hour. Add milk and serve when soup is hot.
    Makes 10 small servings.
