Chocolate Dessert - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 small (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate bits
6 Tbsp. hot water
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. whipped cream
1 c. chopped walnuts
3 3/4 c. vanilla wafers
Preparation

Melt chocolate bits and water in top of double boiler. Mix sugar, salt with slightly beaten egg yolks and add to the chocolate mixture. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Add vanilla, egg whites, whipped cream and nuts. Butter 9 x 9-inch pan. Spread crushed wafers in bottom. Add chocolate mix. Alternate layers until full, ending with crumbs. Chill overnight. Serves 12.
