Cauliflower Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, shredded
    1 head cauliflower, broken into flowers
    1 sliced onion (I use purple)
    1 c. mayonnaise
    4 to 8 oz. shredded cheese
    1 lb. bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
    1/3 c. sugar
Preparation
    In a large bowl, layer the ingredients one on top of another. (Spread the mayonnaise as if \"frosting\" the salad.)
    Sprinkle the cheese, then bacon, then the sugar on top.
    Cover.
    Put in fridge overnight (8 hours).
    Toss just before serving.
