7 Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head cauliflower
    1 large bunch broccoli
    1 red onion
    1 can water chestnuts, sliced
    1 lb. bacon, fried and crumbled
    1 pkg. dry Hidden Valley Ranch dressing
    3/4 c. Parmesan cheese
    mayonnaise
    1 to 2 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Cut vegetables in small pieces.
    Layer in order given in large bowl.
    Sprinkle with 1 to 2 teaspoon sugar.
    \"Ice\" cake with mayonnaise, completely sealing.
    Refrigerate overnight or 8 hours. Toss before serving.
    Keeps several days in fridge.
