Chip Kisses - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 egg whites
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    1 1/4 c. nuts, chopped (optional)
    1 tsp. any flavoring (optional)
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until foamy.
    Add salt and cream of tartar. Continue beating until stiff, but not dry.
    Add sugar, 2 tablespoons at a time, beating thoroughly.
    Fold in nuts, chocolate, vanilla and/or other flavor.
    Drop onto cookie sheet (teaspoon size).
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Watch carefully. Should be very lightly browned.
    Yield: about 72 kisses.
