Sherry Thins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg or 2 egg whites or egg substitute equivalent to 1 egg
    3 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. cream sherry
    grated almonds or tiny candies
Preparation
    Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Beat in egg.
    Add
    sifted
    dry ingredients alternately with sherry, beating until
    smooth.
    Wrap
    dough
    in foil and chill several hours or
    overnight.
    Roll\tdough out thin on floured board or pastry cloth
    and
    cut
    out
    shapes with small cookie cutters. Put on cookie sheet; sprinkle with almonds or candies and bake at 400\u00b0 for
    8 to 10 minutes.
    Yield:
    6 to 7 dozen.
