Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 carrots, chopped
    6 to 8 potatoes, chopped
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 can tomatoes (1 qt.)
    1 can whole kernel corn
    1 can pinto beans or leftover beans
    1/4 c. oil
    1 stick chili
    1 c. ketchup
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 lb. hamburger, browned
    1 lb. sausage, browned
Preparation
    Start with 2 1/2 quarts of boiling water in a large pot.
    Add oil and carrots.
    Cook until tender, then add potatoes and onion. Cook until potatoes are almost done, then add chili, tomatoes, ketchup and sugar.
    Cook for 10 minutes, then add other ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes.
    Put hamburger and sausage in last.
