Italian Sausage Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. bony chicken pieces
    9 c. water
    1/2 c. chopped carrots
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/4 c. butter
    2 c. diced onion
    2 c. shredded cabbage
    2 c. cubed potatoes
    1/2 tsp. marjoram
    1 lb. Italian sausage, skinned, cooked and drained
    salt and white pepper to taste
Preparation
    Simmer chicken in water for 2 hours.
    Remove chicken bones. Strain broth and set aside.
