Diane'S Gone All Afternoon Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. stewing beef, cubed or boneless chuck
    3 medium carrots, sliced
    3 onions, chopped
    3 potatoes, peeled and quartered
    1/2 soup can water
    1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed tomato soup (undiluted)
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1 bay leaf
    1/4 c. dry red wine or cooking sherry
Preparation
    Put beef, carrots, onions, potatoes, soup, water, salt, pepper, bay leaf and wine in a lightly greased (I use Pam) 3-quart casserole dish with tight fitting lid.
    There is no need to brown meat first.
    Mix ingredients together.
    Cover tightly.
    Bake in a preheated 275\u00b0 oven for 5 hours.
