Boston Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dried beans
    1/2 c. catsup
    1/4 c. molasses
    1/4 lb. oleo or butter
    salt and pepper to taste (optional)
    1 small onion, chopped
    1/4 c. brown sugar
Preparation
    Wash beans and soak overnight.
    Rinse and boil in unsalted water until soft.
    Pour off water and rinse.
    Put all ingredients into a bean pot or casserole dish (a slow cooker also works if you leave the cover off).
    Cover well with water.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and then at 250\u00b0 for 5 to 7 hours.
    Keep covered with water.
