Chicken In Crock-Pot - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 lb.) chicken (whole or cut up)
    2 carrots, sliced
    2 onions, sliced
    2 stalks celery with leaves, cut in 1-inch pieces
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1/2 c. water, chicken broth or white wine
    1/2 tsp. basil
Preparation
    Put carrots, onions and celery in bottom of crock-pot.
    Add chicken.
    Top with salt, pepper and liquid.
    Sprinkle basil. Cover and cook until done on low, 8 to 10 hours or high 3 to 5 hours (increase liquid to 1 cup).
