Raisin Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening (Crisco or butter)
1 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 c. Brer Rabbit molasses
4 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. soda
3/4 c. boiling water
1 c. raisins
Preparation

Mix shortening, sugar and beaten egg.
Sift together and add flour, cinnamon, ginger and soda.
Cook together boiling water and raisins.
Add to mixture.
Drop by teaspoon.
Bake for 10 minutes in 375\u00b0 oven.
Frost them with a plain powdered sugar frosting when cool, if you wish.
