Caramel Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. heavy cream
1 1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Bring cream to boil; set aside.
Bring sugar and water to boil.
With a pastry brush dipped in cold water, make a line around the inside of the saucepan just above the boiling mixture. Cook over high heat until mixture is golden brown.
Remove from heat and let cool a bit.
Add cream to mixture.
Bring to boil and cook over low heat 2 to 3 minutes.
Add vanilla.
Makes 3 cups.
