Date-Nut Roll - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. light cream
1 c. dates, cut fine
1 c. nuts
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cook the sugar and cream to soft ball stage.
Add the dates; cook to firm ball stage.
Add the nuts and salt.
Cool.
Beat until mixture can be formed into a roll.
Wrap in wax paper. Chill; slice.
