Surprise Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. margarine
    1 c. dark or light corn syrup
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 well beaten eggs
    1/2 c. shredded coconut
    1/2 c. quick cooking rolled oats
    1 (9-inch) unbaked pastry shell
Preparation
    Add sugar gradually to margarine; cream until fluffy.
    Add syrup and salt; beat well.
    Beat in eggs, one at a time.
    Stir in coconut and oats.
    Pour into pastry shell.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until knife inserted in center comes out clean, 50 minutes.
    Cool.
