Old Fashioned Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    5 whole eggs
    2 c. flour (measure after 2 siftings)
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter until fluffy.
    Add sugar to creamed butter and cream until light and fluffy.
    Drop in 1 whole egg at a time while beating.
    Stop beater and fold in flour.
    Add vanilla.
    Cook at 300\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Turn up to 325\u00b0 for 15 minutes to brown.
