Nut Crackers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 oz. chocolate bits
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. black walnuts, if desired
Preparation
    Melt half of chocolate tidbits.
    Cream shortening and sugar; add egg.
    Continue beating and add vanilla and melted chocolate. Add milk and dry ingredients.
    Mix in chocolate pieces and nuts. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350\u00b0 for about 13 to 15 minutes.
