Pork Chops And Sage Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 pork chops
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 Tbsp. each margarine and oil
    5 c. thinly sliced onions
    1 tsp. sage
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Coat chops with flour.
    Brown in oil and margarine over low heat.
    Turn and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    Brown lightly on other side and remove from skillet.
    Put onion in fat.
    Toss to coat, then brown lightly.
    Add 1 teaspoon salt and sage.
    Add chops and water.
    Reduce to simmer.
    Cover tightly and cook slowly about 1 hour.
