Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. uncooked rice
    6 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    5 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar plus 3 Tbsp.
Preparation
    Cook rice and milk together in double boiler one hour.
    Add vanilla.
    Beat lightly 2 whole eggs and 3 egg yolks and then beat in 1/2 cup sugar.
    Add egg and sugar mixture to rice.
    Stir until a little thick.
    Pour into 1 1/2-quart casserole dish or loaf pan.
