Fruit Turnovers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. shortening
    1 tall can milk
    2 eggs
    fruit
Preparation
    Sift together all dry ingredients into bowl.
    Add shortening and mix.
    Add all milk and eggs.
    Roll very thin in circle, about 6 inches in diameter.
    Put any kind of fruit on dough.
    Wet edges of dough and fold over; crimp with fork.
    Cook in hot, deep fat. Makes about 30 pies.
