Sopaipillas(Fried Bread) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    1/4 c. fat or shortening
    4 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. salt
    1 lb. pure lard (for frying) or a cheap shortening (not Crisco)
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients into mixing bowl.
    Cut in fat and add water to hold together.
    Roll dough thin and cut into small squares.
    Fry in deep, hot lard about 400\u00b0.
    This bread will puff like a little pillow.
    Fill with honey or roll in cinnamon and sugar or powdered sugar.
    A nice dessert.
