Orange Bundt Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    4 c. flour
    1 1/4 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. chopped dates
    3 Tbsp. grated orange rind
    1 c. pecans
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar; beat in eggs.
    Add flour, buttermilk and soda alternately; mix well.
    Add dates, orange rind and pecans.
    Place in Bundt or tube pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Reduce oven temperature to 250\u00b0 and bake for about 1 hour or until done.
