Fried Cucumbers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    cucumbers
    salt
    pepper
    flour
    lard (oil or shortening)
Preparation
    Pare cucumbers and cut lengthwise in very thick slices; wipe them dry with a cloth.
    Sprinkle with salt and pepper and dredge with flour.
    Fry in pan greased with about a tablespoon each of oil and butter.
    Brown both sides and serve warm.
