Layered Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. potatoes, sliced thin (about 4 c.)
    salt and pepper
    1 can whole kernel corn, drained
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 onion, chopped
    4 carrots, peeled and sliced
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Layer potatoes in an oiled baking dish.
    Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    Spread corn; sprinkle with pepper, onion and carrots. Crumble beef over top.
    Sprinkle again with salt and pepper.
    Top with tomato sauce; spread evenly.
    Bake, covered, for 30 minutes. Top with cheese and bake for 10 to 15 minutes longer.
    Serves 4 to 6.
