Sweet Potato Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. mashed sweet potatoes
1/2 c. oleo, softened
2 eggs, separated
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. sugar
1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
Preparation

Mix first 4 ingredients.
Next, add salt and spices and milk; mix well.
Beat egg whites at room temperature on high for 1 minute; gradually add sugar 1 tablespoon at a time.
Beat until stiff and forms a peak.
Fold in the egg whites into sweet potato mixture.
Spoon mixture into unbaked pie shell.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 minutes, then reduce to 350\u00b0 and bake an additional 45 minutes or until set.
