Lemon Angel Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg yolks
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. lemon juice
    1 1/2 tsp. lemon rind
    1 Tbsp. gelatin
    1/4 c. water
    1 angel food cake
    6 egg whites
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 pt. heavy cream
Preparation
    Dissolve gelatin in 1/4 cup water.
    Cook egg yolks, sugar, lemon juice, lemon rind and gelatin over hot water until it coats a spoon. Beat egg whites stiffly with sugar and add to mixture. Break angel food cake (either homemade or bakery cake) into bite size pieces.
    Oil an angel food cake pan and alternate layers of cake with sauce.
    Chill overnight and serve with whipped cream frosting.
    Serves 10 to 12.
