2 c. flour (Hecker's unbleached all-purpose)
5 oz. sugar
1 stick (4 oz.) butter or margarine (room temperature)
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder (fast acting)
2 eggs
approximately 1 c. milk*
3 tsp. vanilla flavoring
2 Tbsp. plain cocoa powder
approximately 1 oz. milk*
1 tsp. almond flavoring

On humid or dry days, batter should flow but still be thick.
