Marinated Vegetables - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. chopped celery
    3 to 4 small onions, sliced and separated
    1 (16 oz.) can French-cut string beans, drained
    1 (16 oz.) can LeSueur garden peas, drained
    1 jar pimento, chopped and drained
    1 small pkg. slivered almonds
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. oil
    1 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Combine celery and onions and chill in cold water 5 to 10 minutes.
    Combine beans, peas, pimento and almonds.
    Drain water off celery and onions and mix everything together with sugar-oil-vinegar mix; refrigerate.
    Will last several days.
