Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. stewing beef
    1 (20 oz.) pkg. soup vegetables or 1 c. each: frozen peas, corn, green beans, lima beans and carrots
    1 c. shredded cabbage
    3 medium potatoes, diced
    1 small onion, diced
    1/2 stalk celery, diced
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes
    4 c. water
    salt and pepper
    thyme (optional)
Preparation
    Brown stewing meat.
    Combine meat, vegetables and water in crock-pot or large pot.
    Season to taste with salt, pepper and thyme.
    Add soup bone.
    Cook on high for 5 hours or low for 10 hours for crock-pot.
    Cook over medium heat for 4 hours on stove. Remove soup bone before serving.
