Easy Butter Crunch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. almond halves
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
    Melt butter in heavy skillet; stir in sugar. Add almonds and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is golden and almonds begin to pop. Spread evenly in a jelly roll pan (15 1/2 x 10 1/2). Immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips. Spread.
    When chocolate is set and cool, crack candy into pieces.
