Blackberry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. soda
    3 c. flour
    2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 1/2 c. blackberries (canned or frozen)
Preparation
    Grease and flour two 8-inch or 9-inch layer pans.
    Cream shortening; add sugar and eggs.
    Sift together flour, soda and nutmeg.
    Add blackberries to creamed mixture.
    Add dry ingredients and mix well.
    Pour into pans.
    Bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes until done.
