Hawaiian Dream Cake - cooking recipe

1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 (16 oz.) can crushed pineapple (reserve liquid)
1 (3.9 oz.) vanilla instant pudding mix
1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip topping
1 c. Baker's flake coconut
1 c. finely chopped walnuts
1 c. maraschino cherries
Preparation

Bake cake mix according to package directions, using reserved pineapple liquid in place of the water.
Add water to the liquid to make up the difference.
Bake in a 13 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
