Christmas Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. applesauce
1/2 c. butter
2 tsp. baking soda
18 oz. carton mixed fruit (candied)
2 c. brown sugar
4 c. self-rising flour
1/2 c. butter
1 c. crushed pineapple
1 c. chopped nuts
1 lb. raisins
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
Preparation

Heat applesauce; add soda, sugar and butter.
Mix well.
Add 3 cups of the flour, spices and fruit and nuts which have been coated with the other 1 cup flour.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
Cake will keep well in refrigerator and freezes well.
