Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, shredded
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen English peas, cooked, drained and cooled
    1/2 c. mayonnaise, combined with 1/2 c. sour cream
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    6 oz. grated cheese
    8 strips bacon, cooked crisply and crumbled
Preparation
    Use a large bowl and place ingredients in layers in order. Cover tightly and refrigerate 8 hours or more.
    Serves 12.
