Red Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 lb. red cabbage
    4 oz. fat dripping
    large onion
    bay leaf
    cloves (optional)
    salt
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1/4 pt. water
    3 to 4 sour apples
    sugar
    more salt
    1 tsp. cornstarch
    1 Tbsp. cold water
    salt
Preparation
    Remove the coarse outer leaves.
    Cut into 4 sections.
    Remove the hard core.
    Wash and shred finely.
