Stuffed Pears Milanese - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 canned pear halves
    6 oz. powdered sugar
    8 maraschino cherries, chopped very fine
    1/2 lb. shelled, toasted almonds, finely chopped
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    1 c. dry sherry
Preparation
    Blend powdered sugar, cherries and almonds together.
    Fill pears with this mixture.
    Place in baking dish.
    Pour sherry over pears and bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until pears are done, but not too soft.
    Serve hot.
    Serves 12.
