Mama'S Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour, sifted
    2 1/2 Tbsp. grease
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Make as for biscuits, mixing sifted flour, grease and milk, adding enough water to make dough fairly stiff.
    Roll out on floured board or pastry sheet to about 3/8-inch thick.
    Cut in long strips 1-inch wide.
    Heat broth.
    If not enough broth, add water to make real thin when adding strips (crisscrossed) into broth.
    Add more salt and pepper if desired.
    Cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally until dumplings are well done.
    Add meat to dumplings if desired.
    Simmer until ready to serve.
