English Toffee Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/3 c. butter
    1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate bits
    3 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Sprinkle nuts over bottom of buttered 8-inch square dish.
    In 1 1/2-quart casserole, place brown sugar, butter and water. Microwave on 100% power 5 to 6 minutes, until thick.
    Stir once during cooking.
    Quickly spread mixture over chopped nuts. Sprinkle chocolate bits.
    Cover dish so heat melts chocolate. Let stand 5 minutes.
    Spread chocolate evenly over top. Refrigerate to set.
    Turn out of dish and break into pieces to serve.
    Yields 1 pound.
