Cheesy Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. dry pinto beans
    2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 onion
    1 c. grated cheese
    4 c. water
Preparation
    Sort and wash beans.
    Put in pan.
    Add water and salt.
    Cover and simmer for 3 hours or until soft.
    Add more water if necessary while cooking.
    Chop onion.
    Put in large skillet with butter.
    Add beans and mash with fork.
    Sprinkle with grated cheese.
    Serve.
