Flemish Carbonnades(A Crock-Pot Recipe) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. round steak, 1-inch thick
    `1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    6 to 8 small new potatoes
    1 envelope dry onion soup mix
    3/4 c. beer
Preparation
    Trim round steak.
    Cut into serving portions.
    Combine flour, sugar and pepper.
    Toss steak to coat thoroughly.
    Place potatoes in crock-pot and cover with steak pieces.
    Thoroughly combine soup mix and beer.
    Pour over steak, moistening well.
    Cover and cook on low setting 8 to 12 hours.
    Thicken gravy before serving.
