Date Loaf - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. sugar
2 pkg. dates
3 c. pecans
1 small can Carnation milk
5 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Cook sugar, milk and butter until it forms soft ball when dropped in cool water.
Add dates (cut up) and cook until it forms hard ball when dropped in cool water.
Take from heat and add pecans.
Beat until thick.
Pour out on damp cloth.
Roll in long round rolls (smaller rolls for smaller pieces of date loaf).
Place in refrigerator to cool.
Take out and cut in thin slices.
