Date Torte - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 eggs, beaten
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour (may add a little more)
1 tsp. baking powder
1 pkg. dates, cut up
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 (16 oz.) can drained pineapple
1 banana, sliced
1 (12 oz.) carton Cool Whip
maraschino cherries, halved
Preparation

Mix the first 6 ingredients together by hand.
Lightly grease and flour a 9-inch square pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 1/2 hour. Test.
When cool, scoop out of pan and break up onto a torte plate; build into a mound.
Top with the drained pineapple; spread around mound.
Slice a banana and place over mound.
Top with Cool Whip.
Trim with halved maraschino cherries.
Serve by spoon.
