Swiss Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. round steak
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/2 c. sliced onions
1/2 c. cut green pepper
1/2 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. canned tomatoes, crushed
Preparation

Rub beef with seasoned flour or pound into steak with meat hammer.
Brown meat, onions and pepper in Crisco in heavy skillet or Dutch oven.
Add tomatoes.
Cover and cook over low heat until steak is tender (about 45 minutes).
