Mango Chutney - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 c. sliced green mangoes
    1/2 c. salt
    7 c. brown sugar
    3 c. vinegar
    3 Tbsp. minced garlic
    2 (15 oz.) boxes raisins
    3 small red chili peppers, seeded and chopped
    1/2 c. finely chopped ginger
    3 c. nuts (almonds or Macadamia)
Preparation
    Combine drained, canned pineapple chunks, sliced dates, diced bananas, halves of maraschino cherries and shredded coconut in any desired proportions.
    Pour a little pineapple syrup over all and chill well.
    Serve for dessert with crisp cookies.
