Wedding Shower Cake(1932 Applesauce Cake) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 3/4 c. flour
1 c. applesauce
1 c. raisins
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts (optional)
1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar. Add beaten egg, spices, flour, applesauce with soda, raisins, vanilla and salt (nuts, if wanted). Bake in moderate oven until done.
