Ingredients

4 eggs
2 c. sugar
4 c. flour, sifted
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
4 Tbsp. anise seed, crushed
Preparation

Roll out 1/2 inch thick on lightly floured board.
Cut with cookie cutter.
Let stand, uncovered, 12 hours or at least overnight.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 minutes on ungreased cookie sheets.
Yields 3 dozen 3-inch cookies or 6 dozen 2-inch cookies.
