Hot Tamale Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground lean beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 can cream-style corn
    1 can tomato soup
    1 to 2 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. salt
    pinch of black pepper
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
Preparation
    Brown ground beef and onion.
    Drain; add other ingredients and simmer until well blended.
    Add water if too dry.
    Pour into greased casserole.
    Cover with a thin layer of corn bread batter (2 cups self-rising meal, 1 egg and 1 cup milk).
    Bake in a 425\u00b0 oven until browned on top.
