Pasta With Broccoli And Garlic(Yields 8 Servings) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. pasta (rotelle, ziti)
    2 heads broccoli (small flowerets)
    3/4 c. olive oil
    10 cloves garlic, sliced thin crosswise
    pepper and salt to taste
    4 Tbsp. unsalted butter
    1/2 c. plus grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Cook pasta al dente. Drain.
    Steam broccoli for 2 minutes. Rinse.
    Put oil in skillet on medium heat for 1 minute.
    Add garlic and cook 2 minutes.
    Add broccoli and cook 2 minutes. Add pasta and butter.
    Cook for 3 to 4 additional minutes until all ingredients are mixed well and warmed.
    Top with Parmesan cheese and salt to taste.
    Can add shrimp (optional).
